Wat Saket (Temple of the Golden Mount)

At the top of the Golden Mount, a view from the Loha Prasat (The temple of metal castle) on Ratchadamnoen Avenue.Wat Saket (Temple of the Golden Mount) was built by King Phra Buddha Yot Fa Chulalok (King Rama I) of the present Rattanakosin era. The Temple is also located in the Rattanakosin Island.

The Anantasamakom Throne Hall

The Anantasamakom Throne Hall, a large piece of marble architecture in Italian Renaissance and Neo Classic style, is located in the Dusit Palace. The marble were brought in from Carrara, Italy and other materials were mainly imported. Other attractions are also within the same compound.

Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn)

Wat Arun (Temple of the Dawn) is one of Bangkok\'s best know landmark. It stands on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River in Thon Buri. Wat Arun is one of the oldest temple with a very long history. Across the river is the Grand Palace and Temple of the Emerald Buddha and many others attractions.

MBK Center

It is one of the large shopping center at Siam intersection in Bangkok. There are thousands of products to deal with and most of them are clothing. It appears that the Middle East tourists like to shop there.

China Town

China town or "Yaowarat" is the location where most of Chinese Thai as a big community do their everyday business . The street is full of shophouses and food and fruit stalls. Wat Traimitr (Temple of the Golden Buddha) is nearby.

Floating Market Klong Lat Mayom

Klong Lat Mayom Floating Market in Taling Chan area west of Bangkok. It\'s very crowded on the weekend. Taling Chan Floating Market is not too far away. However, Klong Lat Mayom offers more activities for tourists beyond eating and buying things.

The Jim Thompson House

The Jim Thompson House is now a museum in Bangkok. It is a complex of various old Thai structures with a number of Thai artifacts. The compound is within a walking distance from BTS Skytrain at the National Stadium station and Siam intersection.

Khaosan Road

Bangkok\'s Khaosan Road in Bang Lumpu, is a thriving community that caters to the every need of the budget traveller, from cut-priced airfares and accommodation, to shopping, food, internet, and entertainment. It is within a walking distance to the Rattanakosin Island.

Kukrit Pramoj Heritage House

The house\'s owner was the former Prime Minister Kukrit Pramoj. To name a few, he was a politician, novel writer, an actor with Marlon Brando as a Southeast Asian prime minister in The Ugly American. Much of his living quarters—five interconnected teak houses—has been preserved as he left it.

The Democracy Monument

Students as well as general public normally used the Democracy Monument on Ratchadamnoen avenue as the landmark to stage several protests against the government as well as the dictator in the past. Since the monument is not far away from Thammasat University (about 30-minute walk), it is very suitable and easy to attract mass public interest, especially in politics. Each temple has a very long history dating back to the period before the present Bangkok capital was founded. Most of these temples are located within the same area of Bangkok of which we call the "Rattanakosin Island". .

Depending on what you like during the day, you can choose among a number of attractions, several shopping complex, and/or the temples. You can choose to relax at some of the massage and spas in the hotel or near you; a good number of them offer superb service. When the night falls, you can spare your time, relaxing at any bars for a glass of popular local beers, or the imported brands, at one of the popularly known red light districts.
